This oil though marketed as Rosemary lavender oil is actually mostly castor oil infused with sesame, coconut oil and rosemary, lavender, jojoba essential oils and amla and olive oil. The consistency is thick like the consistency of castor oil. I haven’t used it for long enough to comment on the results on hair growth but it is made of pure ingredients unlike big name brands that mostly use mineral oil ( a byproduct of petroleum) and market their oil by the name of the tiny amount of famous ingredients like rosemary, onion etc. This Soulflower oil is at least better than those, if a bit expensive. But quality comes at a price and buying a cheaper oil which does basically nothing for your hair and may damage them more is being penny wise but pound foolish.

The oil absorbs fairly well without leaving the hair overly greasy if used in moderate amounts. I usually apply it a few hours before washing or overnight for deeper conditioning. Over time, my hair has appeared shinier and a bit thicker.
